Wanderlust: I want to experience new things and places

I have had a bad case of wanderlust since I was about 10 years old. My family never really got the chance to travel as I was growing up, so I never got the opportunity to see much of the US let alone the world! I have been daydreaming about seeing far off places for as long as I can remember, and so far it has yet to become a reality. The biggest step I have made was moving to Arizona for school! haha!

As I am making plans for the future, I am getting a new intense wave of wanderlust. I keep thinking, how am I supposed to make plans for my career if I don’t even know where I want to live for the rest of my life yet?? This has made me determined to see as many new places as I can before I graduate! I am a broke college student, so it may be difficult but it is my current goal. I want to see New York City, LA, Seattle, and Chicago. And it almost goes without saying that I would die to see any of Europe (London, Paris, or Rome in particular).  Hopefully before I graduate I will be able to participate in a study abroad program through my university. It would be such an amazing experience to have!

Now I just have to work on making these dreams a reality!

Weapons of Mass Creation

I thought this was clever! It makes me think of the saying “the pen is mightier than the sword.”

Choose your weapon carefully, and happy creating! 🙂

Window Displays

As some of you might know, one of the many things I hope to do in my life is to design window displays. There are endless possibilities for them, and I think that original creative ideas can be powerfully executed! I came across this photo that appears to be part of a window display that I absolutely love! I unfortunately can’t find the source for this so if you know what it is or where this came from please leave a comment to let me know!

Typewriter art

Some people are so inventive! I came across the artist Keira Rathbone recently and her work is astounding! She is “known around the world for her extensive explorations into the artistic potentials of typewriters” and that is the only way to accurately describe what she does.

Here is a few pictures of one of her pieces. I will let these pictures speak for themselves because really there isn’t much else to say than WOW!

Scarves: New ways to wear the amazing outfit enhancer

If you take on look into the second drawer of my dresser you will see that I have an addiction…. and addiction to scarves! I love them! There are so many different patterns and colors, and even materials that they are made of, which makes me very versatile! You can even add a scarf to practically any outfit!

Even with that said, scarves can get a little boring, so here are 8 new ways (thanks to debshops) to wear them! I can’t wait to try these out the next few times I wear one of my many scarves!

Check out debshops post about these fun new ways to wear them and more instructions of how they created the look!

Long time no see!

There are so many creative and inspiring things I have discovered during my absence that I can’t wait to share with you all, so please make sure you check back often for new exciting posts that show you new and inventive ways of creating and looking at the world around us!

Just a quick update on what’s going on in my life since last time I posted! Like I said I am back at school for a new semester which brings with it all sorts of new experiences. I am back to taking art studio classes, which is wonderful! I missed hands on creating in a more formal/structured setting. I am also taking some amazing marketing and creative business admin classes, where I am learning so much that will help me in the future!

Another exciting thing that has happened is I got an internship for the semester!! I’m the event administrative intern for the Phoenix Film Festival! I am so excited to have the chance to get experience working on a huge special event like this! I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on that!

Has anyone else had any exciting new things happen recently?? Comments below to share, I’d love to hear!

Here is picture from a lovely hike I did this weekend! I am so happy the weather is back to being perfect!
